The MRI you already took can become a 3D bone map 🩻
MRI2CT announced its NextMR Spine clearance on October 7: software that turns standard lumbar MRI images into a three-dimensional view of bone. That could give spine teams another planning view without a separate scan for that task. Keep the dates straight: the FDA decision was September 4, not this week. This is a specific cleared spine application, not a blanket replacement for CT.
Eye scans can now help flag possible trial matches—locally 👁️
Verana Health and Bitfount announced a partnership this morning combining eye-image analysis with EHR criteria for clinical-trial prescreening. Bitfount generates an imaging eligibility flag at the practice, alongside Verana’s record-based checks. The useful shift is a richer shortlist without moving the image analysis off site. It flags potential candidates; it does not guarantee enrollment or replace the study team’s assessment.
Solera puts cancer screening and support behind one digital front door 📲
Solera launched its Cancer Care Network this morning, pairing Fuze Health’s at-home screening and sample collection with Iris by OncoHealth’s supportive care and treatment navigation. Members are routed using their needs and journey stage. For health plans and employers, the concrete move is a connected access point for services often scattered across vendors—not a new cancer treatment or a demonstrated outcomes improvement.
